Backtagging: Yes, to a reasonable (~1 month) degree for games. I try to exit out of threads in a timely manner so they're officially wrapped up before I start dragging on replies, so don't be weirded out if Ghoul ducks out after a while!
Threadhopping: Probably fine, wouldn't hurt to double check though.
Tagging style: Prose is my forever girl. I'll do my best to match formats for threads I tag in to, although I may forget/post from mobile and heck it up every once in a while. I'm not a stickler for you matching my starters, though! Post in whatever style you're comfortable with.
Offensive subjects: You won't offend me. Ghoul, however, may offend you. Things to keep in mind when tagging him are: his vulgarity, violent tendencies, and a canon dealing heavily in brainwashing/controlling people with drugs and questionable therapy. Discussions of his canon setting may include hostage situations, consent issues, and bodily autonomy triggers that could branch in to outright body-horror territory. Addiction, domestic abuse, self-harm, or substance abuse may also come up from time to time. If any of those things bother you or if anything comes up in the process of threading with me, please let me know!

Name: "Fun Ghoul" - real name unknown.
Age: Early to mid-20s. Exact age unknown.
Personality synopsis: Sarcastic. Ranges from slightly tactless to blatantly rude. Stubborn. Argumentative. Mischievous. Tells approximately 1,345,672 lies per day. Will probably steal your shit. Determined to punch literally the entire world at least once. May transform in to an actual carebear when specific conditions are met.
Canon information:

The world of Danger Days is both high-technology and post-apocalyptic, set not too far from our own time but as different as can be. As far as anyone knows, the only city left on the planet is Battery City. Battery City is located in what once was Southern California. It's an advanced blend of all things English, Japanese, and robot. It's a utopia. Clean, safe from radiation, well-protected. Everyone is well behaved and happy. The City is a literally perfect working machine.

Except it's all thanks to drugs and mind control. The organization responsible for keeping Battery City afloat (Better Living Industries) supplies its residents with a constant stream of mind-altering drugs and brainwashing programs that keep them subservient and mellow. BLi runs a regime where color is outlawed and emotions are dangerous, causing the people of Battery City to live their lives like marionettes. They take their pills daily, consume BLi-approved media, and work the jobs assigned to them. They may be safe and they may be chemically altered to feel content, but they have no personality. No freedom.

Every so often, though, a mistake in the City happens. Someone doesn't adapt to the medication, or perhaps they purposely refuse it for whatever reason. These people are classified as extremely unsafe and must be dealt with- but if they make it outside the City and in to the desert, they may be able to wear the label of "killjoy." A killjoy is someone who believes in choice, in color, in emotion.

And in wreaking havoc on BLi.

Notable physical characteristics: Kind of small. Will firmly insist he's 5'7", but in truth, 5'6" is a super exciting Tall Day for him. He has to cheat to even reach that. Long, perpetually messy black hair that tends to curl a bit at the ends. Hazel eyes. Covered in tattoos of varying size and quality. On the right side of his face is a raised, jagged scar. It starts directly at the corner of his mouth and stretches ~2-3" horizontally across his cheek. A smaller, shorter line branches off the same scar, cutting diagonally towards his jawline. Although it's still very fresh, it has paled out to a color similar to his own skin tone rather than being the usual red/purple of new scar tissue. ( ref #1, ref #2 )

Known for wearing bright, obnoxious colors- most often seen in yellow, as well as stripes. Clothing is threadbare and haphazardly patched together, and often grimy- even the "newer" pieces of clothing he scavenges from the city. Not quite up to polite society's standards of hygiene in general.

Voice is a bit deeper than one would probably expect from him, and his speech is very informal in addition to being strangely accented. Has a fondness for cursing, slurring, and mumbling more than projecting, which can make him incredibly difficult to understand when he talks quickly. Will talk with his hands and gesture excessively when excited or annoyed, whereas he will draw in to himself and become still when upset. Tends to alternate between fronting himself as bigger than he actually is, or slouching and shuffling around with poor posture.


Notable abilities:

• SELF DEFENSE... Ghoul is a human being with no supernatural powers or genetic enhancements. While he's not especially speedy or flexible, he makes up for that in brute strength and in viciousness. He has no specific or specialized fighting style, but that doesn't stop him from holding his own. Going hand-to-hand with him isn't recommended, because it will get ugly fast. You might as well get in a fist fight with a badger.

Then again, distance fighting may not be a great idea, either. He's not the best shot around, but he's good enough, and that's what matters.

• EXPLOSIVES... He makes these. He's great at making these. If something can be converted in to an item that a) explodes, or b) sets things on fire, he will find a way to make it happen. In order to do this, he has some sort of self-taught understanding of wiring and chemicals. And he's not afraid of experimenting with new things.

• SURVIVAL... Staying alive is a cakewalk by now. He knows all sorts of radioactive-wilderness tricks; basic first aid, finding/constructing shelter, how and when to bother with purifying water, how to construct simple traps (either for catching food or for the more general purpose of being an asshole), etc.

• LANGUAGES... Battery City is very bilingual. Advertisements, news broadcasts, and even buildings have both English and Japanese scrawled all over them. He can understand and read both. However, killjoys have their own outrageous slang and horrible sentence structure. Even inside the more well-educated City, the constant blending of languages has likely resulted in odd grammatical structure or nonsensical words. Communication with Ghoul will be strange at times.

Considering the name "Fun Ghoul" is a play on an Italian insult, he likely knows a few lines of basic, Americanized, probably-apocalypse-butchered Italian as well.

General physical violence: Please fight with this saucy motherfucker, I don't even care if he loses.
Injuring this character: I'm very chill. Anything aside from serious harm (anything permanent or that would take him out of play for weeks) is greenlit.
Torturing this character: Probably fine, come talk to me about it!
Killing this character: Preferably not right now!
Mental/emotional torment: Also fine, come talk to me about it.
Physical contact: Although he can be sort of charming at times and he may initiate contact every so often (especially if he's looking to gain or loot something, oops), he's not a fan of being touched or held unless it's from/with someone he trusts. But try it anyway! If it feels right for the scene and/or if you don't mind your character's arms being smacked away, go for it.
Romance/intimacy: Totally cool. All genders and humanoid species are invited tbh, but expect Casual Fridays every day. He can't even spell "monogamy," much less practice it. Don't catch feelings is basically what I'm saying.
Using magic on this character: Sure, but let's talk about it beforehand.
Using telepathy/mind reading abilities on this character: Definitely come talk to me. I have dirty deets to share with you.
Using mind control on this character: He will go completely and utterly apeshit if he ever realizes this has been done to him. Just know that if he finds out who's done it, he'll go after them with a fury like this earth has never seen. I am okay with that if you are. Touch base with me so we can plan things out.
